Over the years, Chocolate School for Kids & Teens has taken students on chocolate adventures from the jungles of South America and the islands of the Caribbean and from the nations of West Africa to the only US state that can grow cacao (Hawaii).

This year, Chocolate School for Kids & Teens will take your children and teenagers on a European Chocolate Tour where they will learn about, taste and make chocolate European-style.

At Chocolate School for Kids & Teens ‘European Style’, your child or teenager will experience:
• A Chocolate Class Session where he or she will learn fun facts inspired by European chocolate-lore.
• A Chocolate Workshop Session where your child or teen will make European-inspired chocolate treats to bring home
• And an authentic French Chocolate ‘Gouter’ where they will enjoy a chocolate snack popular with children and teens across France.

In the Chocolate Class Session, your child or teen will learn:
• How Spanish royalty fueled the spread of chocolate across Europe
• How a Belgian chemist transformed chocolate from medicine into the ‘bon bon’.
• What inspired a Swiss chocolatier to invent milk chocolate.
• How a French chef’s apprentice accidentally discovered a new way to make chocolate for bon bons, icings and spreads.
• How an Italian pastry chef invented a world-famous chocolate spread during World War II cocoa shortages.
• How a British chocolatier multiplied holiday sales by designing a new box.
• How an Austrian baker invented a pastry that’s sold in virtually every European bakery today.
• How a Dutch chemist created a cocoa powder that dissolves more easily in liquids.

During the Chocolate Workshop session, your child or teen will make:
• Chocolate ganache spread, a 175-year old Parisian invention.
• Mendiants, a French chocolate treat that originated in the Middle Ages
• Chocolate Dipped Biscoff, a 100-year-old cookie invented by a Belgian baker

Plus, our first ever Chocolate ‘Goûter’, during which your child or teen will enjoy a taste of France with an authentic chocolate snack!
